Luxco Wax has a well equipped R&D/Technical Service Laboratory located at our Richmond, CA manufacturing facility. In addition, the plant maintains a separate Quality Control lab that is responsible for routine product and raw material testing.
Brabender Plasticorder
Our R&D lab includes state-of-the-art equipment to perform wax analyses, performance testing and developmental work. Our laboratory is especially well equipped to serve the candle, PVC extrusion, rubber corrugated box, wax emulsion and hot melt industries. We offer technical service support along with product modification and/or development.
Our laboratory can perform all of the basic petroleum wax analyses, including melting point, congealing point, oil content, color blocking point and viscosity. Our equipment includes a Perkin-Elmer differential scanning calorimeter, H-P gas chromatograph, FT-IR, Brabender Plasticorder and other miscellaneous small analytical apparatus. This equipment is used for both process control and product development.
Luxco Wax has a continuing program of product improvement and development which has allowed us to offer a growing range of products to the wax consuming industries.
